Unless there is a different indication, all the photos shown on this page were taken by me during a two hours' walk from Munich-Pasing to Planegg along the Würm, in July 2011. I'd appreciate your remarks and proposals for useful modifications or extensions of this page. Just write a mail!

Arrival by Public Transport

From Munich Hbf (= Hauptbahnhof = main station), take an S-Bahn to Pasing, exit the station using the southern exit (Südausgang), and go immediately to the right until you meet the small channel going to the north. Cross the street and go along the channel to the south.

Sometimes you will have to change to the other side of the channel or the Würm creek itself, and in some places, there is no path directly aside the creek but if you return to the creek at the next occasion, you will be able to continue until near Planegg. Some hundred meters before arriving at the Planegg bridge you will have to take the road on the left side of the Würm. If this is uncomfortable because of the motor traffic, it will be an opportunity to find a restaurant.

Cross the Würm using the Planegg bridge and go straight ahead to the Planegg railway station (a little more than a kilometer), where there are direct S-Bahn trains to the center of Munich.

Indications concerning the arrival correspond to our personal knowledge or even experience, but we cannot assume any responsibility for their rightness. When you are reading this page, things may have changed in reality.

For regional, national, and international trains, see the online information of the Deutsche Bahn.
