Exiting the Münster railway station, go straight ahead crossing two large streets down to the crossing cycle way (called Promenade). Take the footpath along the cycle way to the left until you see the Kanonengraben filled (a moat filled with water) on your left. Go along the left side of the moat taking the street called Am Kanonengraben. At the end of the street you will already see the Aasee in front of you, slightly on the right. Go along the water to find the Dalai Lama's tree. Surrounding the whole lake would be a nice walk.
