Heidelberg is a city of nearly 150 000 inhabitants. It is situated at the place where the Bergstraße, a road that is famous for its flowering almond-trees, crosses the Neckar river leaving the hills of the Odenwald and entering the plain of the Rhine. In Heidelberg one can not only lose one's heart (according to an old German song), but one can also read some interesting inscriptions.
