In the park surrounding the fortress on the Spilberk (Spielberg) hill, near Brno (Brünn), there is the following monument in remembrance of a famous personality of city history.

During the Thirty Years’ War, the Spielberg fortress was assieged by Swedish troops commanded by Torstenson, but they had to withdraw unsuccessful in 1645.
The Emperor in question was Ferdinand III, emperor of the Holy Roman German Empire.
