Bale / Valle is a small village with about 1,150 inhabitants where you will come by on your way from Rovinj / Rovigno to Pula / Pola. In ancient times there was a Roman military camp there. According to Wikipedia, they speak Croatian, Italian and Istriot in the smal locality. It's worth while having a walk through it.

I beg your pardon for beginning the photo galery with such an unpleasant run-of-the-mill marker. But this marker will welcome you right beside the parking area below the local church of Bale / Valle.

Dirty slobs and home-builders who for convenience or cost concerns simply dump their refuse in the scenery unfortunately exist throughout the world.

For what is interesting with this marker besides the interdiction of refuse dumping, see the inscriptions of Bale / Valle under Refuse Dumping Forbidden.

Arrival by Public Transport

Going to Bale / Valle without a car, motorcycle, or bike will be difficult. A starting point for a short spin can be any of the well-known Istrian cities because in Istria distances are not long. But the nearest cities are Rovinj / Rovigno and Pula / Pola. For the arrival down there, see Inscriptions of Rovinj (German, Italian) respectively Inscriptions of Pula. Bale / Valle is situated between these two cities.
